I’m sitting in my local brew pub trying a Blonde Coffee Ale. Not one of my favorite beers if I’m honest. I had a Red Irish Cream Ale that was rather good, and it’s on special today. $8.00 for a 64 oz growler. I think that will be my Friday night fire beer.

Yeah in my experience it’s not a great combo. Just the other week I decided to give it another shot, I still have 5 of that 6 pack in my fridge.

Coffee beer is better as a stout.

A weird coffee beer would be a good upgrade over no beer, which is the unfortunate situation I’m in right now.

i used to drink it all the time as it had the highest alcohol to $ ratio of any beer at the local college bar.
also better as a stout or porter

Coffee beer works best as a stout. 10 years or so ago during football season we home brewed it and put it in mini-kegs for 6:00AM when the stadium gates opened for tailgating. A few cups of coffee stout was perfect for waking up while getting the grill heated up before switching to mimosas and bloody Mary’s.
