Would it be okay to lower the family car? Or would it destroy the confort?

This preview was offered by 30 bags of garden soil in the trunk

Proper spring rates and shocks will allow you to maintain comfort levels. To keep it relatively stock you would probably need a custom progressive spring rate.

Depends on how much you lower it and with what parts.

A quick search shows Eibach makes Pro-Kit springs for your car that are generally pretty mild lowering and spring rate increase over stock and designed to work with your stock shocks.

I don’t see any performance shocks available, so you’d basically be looking at either lowering springs and stock shocks, or whatever coilover kits may exist, and generally those would be a lot stiffer.

I see that too, and it’s not too pricey at all. It would be worth to try when the warranty on the car runs out.

Gotta love that loaded down family sedan game lol. Mine was I think mine was a large quantity of mulch. Please excuse the extreme over exposure, was overcast that day and wanted to show how low the back was.

It looks like it’s constantly accelerating

Looks fast standing still!

First time that’s ever been said about a Milan.

I had the Eibach Pro - kit on my ‘ 98 Passat sedan for almost 10 years (springs and dampers). It definitely made the ride better, but if I could do it again, I ’ d go with less than 1.5" of drop. It just made everything a little bit harder, from clearing speed bumps to getting the jack under the frame rails. The ride tended to be a wee bit harsh for most of my passengers and our road quality, as well. It also screwed with the alignment specs and accelerated tire wear and control arm bushing failure. Long story short: Minimal drop, increased stiffness is best IMHO.

I don’t know if it’s the color and the height or what it is but that car looks good! I’d be a proponent of lowering it.

The more amazing fact is how in the world you got 30 bags of garden soil in that car.

Half of the bags were on the backseats

I’m against lowering cars if you stay on the factory wheels or don’t add spacers. Just not a fan of wheels buried inside the fenders.

Ah man I shoulda saved the Snapchat I had of my girlfriend’s Prius C from the other day when we got soil for my garden! 30 bags is insane - we had 10 bags, so something like 400 lbs but it looked badass - though moreso if the wheels were offset something like 2 inches more XD
Still got pretty great gas mileage though!

I would never try to convince her to lower her Prius though. It would never happen. Period. Besides, I haven’t even gotten around to lowering my Mini yet... #priorities
