Does anyone know where I can also rent some bald eagles?

Kinja'd!!!

For the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend, I have just secured a rental on Turo of a 2014 Corvette Stingray. It’s a hard top convertible with a 7 speed manual and all of that V8 American glory.

I will be so MURICA!

You do know that the 4th of July is 2 months away in Top Gear maths.

I’m well aware how far away it is, but I just booked everything now since its a holiday weekend. Got some cheap United flights too since people are afraid of joining the mile high fight club. The C7 with 600 miles over 3 days should be pretty awesome!

Oh yeah I need to make it a point to actually take pictures this time lol. I took like no useful pictures of the 370z I rented last time. But this is way cooler anyways, so I will be sure to snap some photos near the PCH or something.

I envy you! Are you planning on joining your GF out there for good?

That’s the goal, but timeline on that is dependent on work. So I am shooting for by the end of summer or early fall. But I am not living on the east coast in 2018 no matter what I have to do at that point lol.

I don’t blame you, I love the west coast. An NYC Oppo member and his wife are also moving to California this Summer, maybe I should be next haha. We can do a East Coast Transplant Oppo Meet in 2018. Best of luck to you two and I hope everything works out according to your plans.

I’m pretty sure everyone living on the West coast is a transplant from someplace else lol. But yeah assuming the Sierra mountains don’t become beachfront property someday, it should be pretty awesome out there. And I definitely need to find the local Oppos and autox groups and delve into the car culture there.

Should be easier to find some good enthusiasts especially when the weather is so mild year round. You might be running Summers for good soon depending on where you decide to live lol.

Oh yeah, definitely not ever going to use anything other than summers on the Miata at least. The goal is to not allow that car to see anything wet or cold ever again and fix the rust. Then at least it wont rust a second time. But I want to get another car to daily anyways and I will certainly take that to ski mountains. So I imagine I will have to at least keep a set of all seasons for the winter time. I dont imagine chains on summer tires would work all that well.

Why stop at bald eagles? Might as well get some Harpy eagles and Golden eagles too.

Mustang GT’s are the best I can muster for renting.

Yeah, it was really awesome finding a c7 for under $100 a day with 200 miles per day so it was a pretty good deal. My girlfriend loves hard top convertibles and I just wanted something with a manual so this was a good choice. I will definitely need to blast “Born in the USA” as often as possible from this car.
