I was actually going to make the stroganoff kind, until I realized I had grabbed two boxes of the Cheeseburger kind.

It’s essentially finely minced up ham (same as pork luncheon meat or what you’d call Polony) with egg down the centre. They separate the yolk from the white the in a way make a long tube of yolk, surrounded by a long tube of egg white, surrounded by a long tube of ham and then slice it. Think Scotch Egg in tube form without the lard and breadcrumbs.

With that said, I just posted this in Macanamera’s food post:
Roasted julienne red and golden beets with kalamata olives, spring onion, cherry tomatoes, and goat cheese.
Served tonight with crab cakes and steamed green beans in butter sauce.
Our tax returns may say “lower middle class,” but we eat well.

It’s okay, not great but for sandwiches and rolls, it’s easy and relatively filling.
Our store does so many different types of food stuffs it’s hard to choose, so it becomes easier to just grab something and pay for it.

Well night shift is finally over so I can have some proper food.
Mushroom and ricotta ravioli tossed with some melted salted butter, on top of some beef ragu, topped with lightly fried diced panchetta and topped again with some pecorino cheese.
Oh and a glass of a nice rioja gifted from a colleague as a thank you the other week.
Oh and some Magnum cracking ice cream.
Heaven.

When my wife and I got married, I said I’ll never complain about dinner so long as:
1. Hamburger (or even worse, Tuna) Helper is not involved.
2. Cream of Mushroom soup is not involved. (Why, you ask. Because cream of mushroom soup is a precursor to some of the worst casseroles known to mankind.)
3. Pork chops are not served.
Now #3 has been relaxed because I found out that what my parents had been calling pork chops (and what I referred to as pork gristle) were actually the cheapest pork cutlets sold at the grocery store. But the first two are stilling working after all these years.
