I was lazy about getting one of those Seresto collars, and now my dog has fleas. Based on past experience they should clear up within a few days. Also a special screw you to both Petsmart and Petco for charging ~$20 more in store than online for those collars (ended up buying online for store pickup to avoid the “dumb enough to shop brick&mortar surcharge).
Anyway: Good Doggo!

We got them because they had fleas. Within 3 days of purchase, they were gone.

Yeah, they seem to work well for me, though the 8-month claim seems exaggerated, maybe more like 6. Fipronil didn’t seem to work at all though, while these seem to start causing flees to be sluggish within a day, and as you say, dead within around 3.

Our collars are around 10 months old, and no fleas are back yet. Though we were having a rodent problem at the time, and those are eradicated, so that could have a lot to do with it.

Not many rodents here, but we do have a feral cat colony (those two facts are likely related), which is probably just as good at distributing fleas, plus plenty of dogs in the apartment complex to deposit them around common areas.

Seresto is magic. But yeah more like 5-6 months for us. And yes, buy online only, though actually Walmart has them in store for a better price than Petsmartco.
