My cousin has a MGB GT but in a lighter yellow.

He was surprised when going through all the papers, since Leonard Cohen was the original owner.

Kinja'd!!!

My stepdad’s car was an MGC GT that he bought after the GTO. He traded it for a Mustang II Mach 1. I was quite young, but all I could think was ‘WTF?’

After my dad died, mom traded our Plymouth Satellite, complete with babyshit brown vinyl roof, for a Fiat 124 Sport Spyder, then a VW Dasher, and then one of the first Vanagons.

For years, my sister had a little reminder of the MGC - the frame on her bulletin board was painted with some leftover paint from the MG.

The Mustang II might have become my first car, but thankfully they traded it in on the Vanagon and kept the Dasher. I got the Dasher when stepdad bought his E21 320i, which became my mother’s when he upgraded to an E28. It then became mine when she could no longer drive it (skiing accident) and my Rabbit was stolen and crashed.
