Saw it this afternoon and thought exactly the same thing. My brother-in-law and I walked out of the theater and said, “Wow, that was good!” Then went on for 10 minutes about all the things that bugged us, but still ended up back at, “It was great anyway.”

Saw it last night. I think on its own it would have been better.
I think it didn’t live up to the one before it. A lot of the writing seemed forced. The soundtrack wasn’t as good in my opinion. They overdid baby Groot. And overall it was too silly. It was weird going silly to serious in a couple seconds so it made those scenes fall flat. But again these are all my personal opinion. Others will have different impressions.
If you wanna shut your brain off and watch something though it’s pretty good.

That about sums it up for me. forced writing in places, so so soundtrack (for me) and the silliness.
