The Fort Lauderdale Air Show is this weekend. When I was a kid this was far and away the biggest event of the year for me.
Unfortunately the show is a shell of its former self, but I’m glad it has been brought back to life after being canceled in 2007. It sounds like there’s hope for a return to the glory days (by the looks of it put on by the original company, too), albeit further south . I’m thinking about doing something stupid and spending a lot of money on a nicer, longer lens, for when 300mm just doesn’t cut it.
