I need some ideas for car/racing events to do this summer. My summer becomes completely free at the end of June. I’m not sure yet if Magoo The People’s Champ and myself will make it back to Watkins Glen or LRP. I’m located in Central, PA for reference. So things in SoCal are probably out of the question.

I’m seeing both Metallica and Iron Maiden live, probably going to Oppo Rally, I’m going to see if I can help out at all at NEFR, I would like to go see IMSA at Watkins Glen, maybe head to Quebec to the WorldRX event. Oh and all the autocrosses I can find.

Most of the autocrossing in my area takes place the end of May and all of June. So I’m missing it all.

Interesting. In my area Autocross runs from late April through to October or November depending on when the snow hits.

Guess I should have said those are the times I’m usually home from school to do them. They do run into October though. I can probably do the events in Pittsburgh though when school starts.

That’s what I am doing. I am planning to run the New England Region SCCA events while I am home over the summer and do the Sports Car Club of Vermont events (as well as Vermont NER events) while I am at school.

Hopefully going to a couple track days with my dad, as well as maybe Goin to LRP for the WeatherTech series race. I really want to get out to The Glenn for one of those track days.

LRP was a blast last year. Magoo and myself were able to drive our cars on the track between races with a whole bunch of other people. You just had to be with one of the car corrals and the Mazda group was still there last year.

I did the same thing. My dad was part of the Porsche car corral. It was a great time. The yellow one is his, the green one is his friend’s.

The Porsche set up was pretty swanky looking, they had a really good showing of cars. Our Mazda one was fairly small since Mazda doesn’t help pay for it anymore. The weather was perfect to unlike when we went to the Glen.

Scary, youll need to ask some of these people that can hit these tracks all the time what they do for a living. lol some exceptions excluded, these people must be shareholders of coca cola or something.
