For reasons I can only guess at, the LexCruiser is $100 a month more to insure than the Wunderbarge. Sheesh.

I’m guessing it’s a combination of higher value retention + increased rollover risk + it will do more damage to whatever it hits.

Im a little shocked its more, but I found out recently having more seats is an automatic rate hike.

I suppose that makes sense. I wonder if having less than four is also a rate hike because it equals super fast sports car in the minds of insurance companies?

It is more likely related to the actuarial claims experience with the two models. Off the top of my head, maybe the folks who now buy the fancy badge are more likely to file a claim for banging it up in the parking lot instead of considering it a badge of honor on an overlanding truck?
