My Land Cruiser sold very quickly. First guy who drove it was ready to make a deal, agreed a price the day he drove it and he picked it up 48 hours later. If I had been less busy it could have been done within two days of posting the ad. I took a slight discount for the convenience of working with a solid, friendly buyer and not having to bother to show it to anyone else....a couple hundred bucks was well worth the easy transaction and freedom from more Craigslist bullshit.* I hope his family enjoys it as much as mine has.

* Funny side note: he accidentally handed me a stack of bills amounting to my full asking price, rather than our agreed-upon slightly lower price...being an honest gent, I met back up with him a few minutes later to give him back the surplus.

Great transaction all around. I commend your honesty and you have bought yourself some seriously good Karma with that move.

If the way the rest of the weekend played out is any indication, good karma must take a while to take effect.

Selling a car is such a relief. The last car I sold was to the first guy who looked at it. My BIL said I could have easily gotten more — like what $200? more maybe? Definitely not worth my time and all the CL BS. A bird in the hand is worth fifty in the bush, as far as craigslist goes.

I tried to convince my sister to buy this since she lives in Seattle.
