Kinja'd!!!

Not the only interesting car I saw today, but it was the only one interesting enough for me to bother photographing. Plus it was right in front of me.

I’m glad Jaguar revived the tail light shape.

Zoidberg posted a really sweet Paseo located here. Interesting cars are so common that you often don’t even notice them, while in other places people might be excited...

First of all.. you know phones can zoom and/or crop right?

Kinja'd!!!

That’s a series 1 coupe, but what’s up with that hatch badging?

Kinja'd!!!

The 3.8 cars had nothing under “JAGUAR,” and the later 4.2 cars had “4.2" under the “JAGUAR”

Is that a “V8?” I wonder what’s in it.

I honestly don’t know. Maybe I should have followed him to ask about it. I didn’t even realize the badging was odd.

If I’m correct that this was taken on Bainbridge island in Washington, then I’ve seen this car at a show once. If I remember correctly it had a Ford engine because the owner purchased the car with either a bad engine or it didn’t have one in the first place. I think it ran a 302.

That might explain the license plate frame that mentioned Jaguar and Ford.

You are correct on the location.

No lens for zooming on mine. Quality goes down. I could have cropped, though.

That was a common swap back in the day. They were pretty, but pretty unreliable. There was room for a small block, so that was sometimes the cheapest way to fix it.

Think of RX7s or RSX8s with an LS swap 30 years from now.

I knew I had a picture somewhere, luckily it was on my current phone.

Nice! Looks like the old Jags are out today, I saw someone running errands in an XK120 earlier (because Lexington)

If it’s a phone, it’s a digital zoom. It would have been the same quality as the cropped image I posted. Give it a shot.
