Bullshit on the anti-government safety regulations myth. The Fiat 500 meets current safety regulations, and is significantly smaller than even the 80s Accord. It’s just that the market is demanding more space. Maybe we’re getting fatter (I know I am).

I parked my 96 civic coupe next to a new coupe the other day in a parking lot. It was a striking difference, especially since mine still has 13" wheels. It was really dark so no SR20.

I stayed maybe 8-9 stories up in a hotel once and could look off my balcony at my old 99 Civic coupe parked behind an older accord wagon. Virtually the same size.
