That moment when a door is a whole foot away from where it’s supposed to be and you have to redesign things and it’s your fault because apparently you’re the only guy doing QC on anything.

Trufax: door was supposed to be 1' left of center but was not, so left/right of center as pertaining to portals of any kind are now trigger words for me. Further Trufax: I was never provided the supplier’s drawing of the room before ordering and apparently was supposed to know that it was being ordered and also wrong by use of my wizardly powers, then to yell STOP! at exactly the right moment. Because fuck any kind of sane QC process right in its ear, and me as well.

I *was* told to go check that the room was within variance of what the ducting would fit, several days ago, but moving the door? Didn’t occur to me. Also we already had the room (4" insulated panel enviro room) set up by that point, so what the hell could I have even done with the info?

This is the same room that I had to completely redesign the ducting for at the last minute because the expected plan for design depending on a contractor and then a supplier for some parts to do it ourselves both didn’t work out. And now the complaint is that the part of the arrangement I carbon-copied from a previous arrangement because I was told to do exactly that was not sufficiently improved by that process and suffused with a minty freshness.

Apparently, I can just go fuck myself. Artistically.
