So I just ordered one of these, in purple. I know it’s kinda cheesy/down right ricey, but when I make my skidplate I’ll loose access to my front towhooks(they will be the forward mounting pionts. And considering the kind of roads I like to drive on, not having a tow hook would be a bad thing.
However I failed to notice the shipping dates, “expected delivery from 5/24-6/24. That’s a long wait.

Yeah I mean, having a visible tow hook on your car that isn’t a track toy seems silly. Especially one of these trendy things, also it’s an eBay special that has a chance of shearing in half if I ever really need it. The text description bothers me. “Tow Hook, Tie Down Ring, Zinc Plated, Steel, 4 Mounting Holes, Bolt-on or Weld-on, Universal, Each”
Welding on zinc plated (i.e. galvanized) parts is a bad idea. As I understand it, they tend to off gas stuff you don’t want to breathe. If you want it welded on, get a painted or bare steel version.
