Funny you mention that.
The day before they posted that story, the general manager — who I’ve known personally for seven years — was “let go.” That general manager also directly hired my wife. In the last two months, higher up positions have been transferred out of state: Oregon (Widmer) or Hawaii (Kona). Much of managerial staff left when the now-void sale to Pabst was announced. Speaking of that, this means that Pabst will not be using the pub and using it as their own and transferring the staff. CBA is just going to shut the doors at some point and I assume the location will be sold to an upstart but wealthy brewery, or more likely bought out by one of the wineries and cash in. Coupled with the fact that entire production staff was let go... and that the Capitol Hill location is supposed to open up this summer... The writing isn’t just on the wall; it’s written in feces.

The GM (also one of my wife’s best friend’s) -- gets laid off, Monday night. My wife updates her resume Tuesday morning, drops off two applications Tuesday afternoon, had two INTERVIEWS Wednesday afternoon. Bombed her first interview, then got hired on the spot at the second interview. Good job, full time with benefits. So we are doing great actually!
