Doing the tuning at my new job, also social media and marketing (experience from other side biz). I’m getting experience with a wide variety of cars on top of it all.

Just the past two days I’ve had a ZL1 with an overdrive pulley:

And a pro charged/cammed Grand Sport that I’m finishing tonight.

I’ll be branching out to the mopars but just watching and learning on them with one of my bosses that has expertise with them

That is awesome! Sounds like fun. Tuning my car cost a pretty penny and that was just to make it pass CA smog. God this state sucks lol.

If you don’t mind me asking... how did you get this job!? I was just laid off after a year as a social media analyst at Samsung. The dream is to do exactly what you’re doing - social media marketing for an auto enthusiast company.

I was at the right place at the right time I guess.

I had my car there to get dyno’d and I’ve known these guys for awhile in our community but didn’t know them closely as friends. One of the owners mentioned they were looking for some extra help (1 tuner, 1 tech) and asked if I knew anybody. He gave a run down of what they were looking for.

I messaged him a few days later asking for more info, then shot him a resume. I got the job and am transitioning to that one full time soon enough, working two jobs is exhausting.

Going from customer to employee was pretty neat to see the transition.

I run a side business called Mexico Racing League. It’s slowly creeping towards 200,000 followers without trying to game the system like some have. They had interest in improving their facebook/media footprint because they know that’s the name of the game. There’s big shops out there that put out crap quality but people still go to them because they’ve marketed their stuff so well. This shop has a bad habit of doing things right, and I haven’t looked back ever since!

Yeah, having to tune a car for performance whilst still in a window that’s not going to run you afoul of emissions is a lot of work.
