The subaru has a 6 inch lift and 32 inch super swampers
The cruiser has 33 inch tires and no lift (probably sagging a few inches from stock height).
Yes, the tires on the bottom car are bigger.

I like how he honked the horn as he bounced off the steering wheel. It’s what makes a Subaru a Subaru.

I like the 15 degrees of steering angle.

Boy, Cruisers sure do look tiny for how lardy they are.

Well remember than an 80 series is about the size of a current 4runner.

Even my 100 series is dwarfed by modern vehicles. My buddy has a newer Taurus and its noticeably bigger in all dimensions other than height.

Seriously, whats the point of all the tires if you have to 5 point every corner.

TIL: I owned one of those cars (the non-turbo impreza) and currently own a ‘13 Outback and I would never consider any serious off roading in either of them. They are just too nice to abuse on the trail. My Isuzu Pickup however is fair game.

There really is no point, that turning radius would so fuck you in so many situations. How many switchbacks have you been around that you would have prefered to do a 3 point turn on to get around, not many I would imagine.

You’re not wrong. I was surprised the Chevy SS had almost the same footprint as my Cruiser. I would have thought it’d be smaller.

I tried to find a picture of a Subaru Justy I came across in the past that was lifted on boggers. Instead I found this and didn’t realize how badly I needed it in my life.
A Subaru Justy based buggy.

It would definitely need some sort of rollcage given how I would drive it, but it’s a good start.
