it’s a 318, but it’s the older polyspheric “A” engine, not the later “LA” engine which was the 273/318/340/360.

Chrysler and AMC used that Carter BBD on damn near everything. For non-performance engines it was fine; it had “enough” airflow, and the small venturies gave great throttle response.
