Thinking about getting one of these for working on my truck. Does anyone have one and wish to share their opinions on it?

Looks nicer than the bucket I usually stand on. But when I worked in a diesel shop one of the mechanics had one and really liked it.

That’s pretty cool, but it looks like it takes up a lot of room, too. I’ve seen some guys install a front-mount hitch and slide in a little step bar for easier access. It works, but it’s not as nice as being able to lay on your belly while leaning over the engine.

Takes up a lot of room, when you’re working on the truck? it doesn’t seem that bad. That’s not a concern for me anyway, I’ve got plenty of space around the truck..

It looks like it folds up pretty nicely when not in use too.

Looks nice and all, but what’s wrong with standing on your bumper*? That’s what I do (don’t do what I do).

*Standing on a chrome bumper may or may not be dangerous, especially when wet. Ask me how I know.

Yeah, I’m so not doing that.

I’m 6'4" and it’s still difficult to do any real engine related work on a Super Duty. I can’t imagine trying to install new injectors while laying on top of the engine. It’s not comfortable for very long.

(Haha, I don’t even have room to store an extra ladder except maybe up in the rafters. It’s tight.)

If you can manage it, go for it! That thing looks awesome.

when i am at the house i use my old used up tires that are still on rims. i usually have more than a few just laying around. the wide ones work the best. if i happen to be on the side of the road and dont have one handy, then the milk crates that hold the oil containers in the back works good too.
