Jumping to old post for update.
Busy with work. The last year I’ve been a product information specialist on the above mentioned brand. Thankfully that was a dealer piece and not one made by us lol. I don’t get to chat on here as much but the job is drastically better than my old one. I’m basically paid to be a car know-it-all.
And with a 9 month old at home plus the 4.5 year old my hands are normally full there as well.

Congrats on the new gig! I’ve been moving into a position to do more programming and development at work which is what I’ve been enjoying the most.
Yeah kids will make you busy. I’ve got a high school freshman and a second grader. Things might slow down a bit after the eldest goes to college. 9 months is a pretty fun age. I’m not a baby person but once they can start moving around on their own I find kids more fun.
I don’t have a facebook. I had a myspace back when that was a thing people did and I just found it too much work to maintain and I really just didn’t care what other people had to say. My only social media is here on Oppo and on reddit and I’m mostly a lurker on reddit.

Nice on the programming. I don’t talk about my job much on here anymore because 1 I’m not a representative of the company and 2 I have to triple read everything I write to make sure I don’t reveal any info I shouldn’t.
Yeah she started crawling about 3 or 4 weeks ago now, she’s definitely on the move.
I try to pop on here when ever things are slow, which is a rarity. In fact it’s pretty nuts right here with all the end of the year campaigns and 2 vehicle launches in progress (rio and stinger) it’s just all with creative and hasn’t been bumped to me to make sure it’s all correct yet.

My son wasn’t happy unless he was moving which was a pain in the ass until he could move himself but then it just opens another set of issues.
So you’re proof reading marketing materials before they’re released into the wild?
I understand not talking about your job on here. My company would drop my ass in a second if I said anything about them that got back to them. They fired someone for saying something innocuous in an interview in a local paper. Gotta control that brand son.

that’s the gist of it. But I proof to make sure the images and the text are all truthful and say if disclaimers should be put in. I also handle acquiring cars for photoshoots, making sure they know how to use the car during those photo shoots. Competitive comparison and claims as well. I like the research angle on that part a lot.

It is! Basically car guy dream job.
Unfortunately the Capri has done ZERO racing. Which is sad.
But until I get one of these kids out of full time daycare in September I don’t know if I’ll have the funds to get it running right. It’s got electrical gremlins attacking it at the moment.

There are many rewarding and wonderful things that come along with raising children but they seem have a detrimental affect on project cars. Consuming both time and money which could be earmarked for the project car.

unless a Marauder pops up to buy I’m going to have to leave my precious Mercury to Rally duty only.
Top cars right now are: Lincoln MKZ 400 hp 400 torque AWD model, Kia Stinger GT, Dodge Charger (something with a hemi, too many trims of that thing lol) or a Chevy SS.
Top 3 row options: Dodge Durango V8/AWD, Lincoln MKT EcoBoost AWD, Tahoe/Yukon
And if I’m insane a Pickup. Would love a new Ranger or a Canyon. And who knows what the Bronco will be like, but when revealed will probably be on the list.
I’ve got some test drives to handle as you can see.....
