Spent the weekend in Omaha with family. Went to the SAC Museum Saturday afternoon and took a long, leisurely look at chased my son around all the planes. He had fun, but I didn’t get much chance to take pictures.

Not really. My aunt and uncle have an acreage off of 72nd just a ways north of 680 so we pretty much just stayed in the house. If the weather had been good we would have gone to the zoo and Kennefick park. This is the 2nd year in a row that it’s been rainy and cold while we’re there...

Oh, I know the feeling. My son has ruined three trips to the Museum of Naval Aviation and one to the Air & Space Udvar-Hazy Annex. At least the former has about a dozen actual cockpit sections from aircraft for the kids to sit inside. Highly recommended. I think we’re going to try to hit the Air Force Armament Museum this year (Eglin AFB in FL). Pretty obscure stuff, everything from a B-17 to basically every missile and bomb ever used (including MOAB).

The ironic thing is that we originally planned to come last weekend, but we pushed it back a week because my aunt had a scheduling conflict.

I haven’t been there since 2006... We used to go every couple of years as a family, but since the family dispersed across the country it makes planning trips a bit difficult.

I’ve been inside that B-52 from the cockpit to the tail gunners seat, when the museum was still at Offutt, fun times!!!
