Anywho, I was really surprised at how comfortable the ride is and how much I’d actually like a crossover. Even to the point where I thought “god dammit” when I drove it after spending Friday night making fun of Acura’s.
This means that I now have to get rid of the Jag... :( This makes me haz a sad as it was the first “adult” car I bought out of college. It was always my wish to replace it with an equivalent car, however AWD classy af 5 speed manual aren’t a dime a dozen.

That’s a manual? I’m shocked that was even an option. Makes it 1000% better. The RDX is really only a lowering kit away from being damn near a true hatchback though

My cousin has a 2009 RDX Turbo. It was surprisingly fun, and nimble for what it is. The only thing I didn’t like about it was sitting in the rear seats. It has theater seating, as in the second row is higher than the front seats, which is fine for kids, but as a 6'2" man it was really unsettling. Honestly the back seat of our Fit is more comfortable, everywhere but your butt.

Yeah the new body style is WAY more spacious, my 6'4" buddy was able to sit behind 5'10" me comfortably.
It was one of the deciding factors, interior space.

I liked the original RDX...in theory. Turbo motor and SH-AWD should make a nice combo. But when I drove one, I found the gear ratios in the 5-speed auto were too widely spaced and the transmission was too slow to react, where it kept falling out of boost constantly. Not like you’re going to be driving a crossover super aggressively but even in normal situations where you want some brief acceleration, it was often in the won’t gear and I had to wait around for it to downshift and spool the turbo.

My wife’s DD is an ‘11 MDX and I really enjoy the car. Great ride, and one of the best auto transmissions I’ve ever experienced. When we get her a new car, I’m considering keeping the MDX. Probably replace it with another MDX also.
