Kinja'd!!!

Last year around this time, my head was the size of Saturn (not the car, but everywhere we are). My nose was runny. I was sneezing. I was dying.

This year, for unrelated reasons, I stopped eating all sorts of red meat.

Side effect of lack of red meat include no allergies at all.

I am no expert on the matter, but I am willing to bet $1 that says all sorts of chemicals in foods today are causing all sorts of allergies.

Back when I was a kid, I was a farm boy. Ate all home grown veggies, fruits and meats. Never had an allergy to anything.

Last year, I was allergic to just about everything. This year I am cured.

I don’t know what they put in red meat or for that matter in any other food, but damn it, it feels great having no allergies.

Oddly enough, tick bites have been shown to result in allergic reactions to red meat. It’s also possible that you could be allergic to the antibiotics used to feed livestock.

Minor allergic reactions can also be triggered by more severe allergic reactions, even if there not normally severe enough to manifest on their own.

I am not allergic to red meat. I am leaning more to the theory that antibiotics or other not natural chemicals in red meat are causing allergies to things like pollen

I wish I could say the same. I don’t eat red meat, a little organic chicken and that is about it. Nose running eyes itching everything killing me right now.

You may be genuinely allergic to pollen.

My issue is that I was never allergic to pollen as a kid, but all of a sudden last few years was suffering of allergies something fierce.

That is what i have always assumed. If I take an antihistamine symptoms go away!

Yeah I wish I could say the same. I am on my 9th week without red meat and my allergies are the same for the season. Usually by the end of this month my body gets used to it and I’ll be care free until September or whenever Fall begins.

The last few years my allergies had cleared up and I though hell, maybe they are going away or my body has built up tolerances finally. This year I wam living in hell! Why the sudden change? Water. California has been in such a bad drought that nothing was blooming, everything was dead and dry and I was living allergy free. Even my cat allergy wasn’t bothering me too much. But as soon as the rains this winter started to give way to warm days my eyes, nose, and throat have been fucked! I hate allergies.

While your red meat idea may be true for you, I grew up not eating red meat and always have had allergies.

if you always had allergies, my theory doesn’t apply to you.

I am coming across more and more people who never had allergies and all of a sudden they are suffering. I know they put antibiotics and other chemicals into food animals consume. They claim it’s safe... as in it doesn’t kill us... but I suspect, they won’t tell us about allergies it might be causing.

Oh I agree with you, I wonder if it is making it worse though.
