I have a serious toothache. It came out of left field while I was at dinner. I am all fucked up on painkillers, but they are doing nothing for the pain! I’ve been icing it, I got that numming mouth gel crap, ripped a few nips of whiskey...nothing is doing anything for the pain. So now I’m just a cracked out mess. Like it took me way longer than it should to think how to spell left back there...AMA!

That’s brutal. I’ve been there. The waiting for the Dentist to open up is torture. Mine got infected, which I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy ... well, maybe my worst one ...

Toothaches suck. Hope the dentist is willing to work Sunday.
In the meantime, my recommendation is to have moar whiskey. It’ll still hurt but you won’t care as much.

Luckily or un luckily, I’m already on antibiotics for the worst chest cold I have had in ages. So I shouldn’t have to worry about an infection but who knows. I eventually used the numbing gel like toothpaste and that set me up for long enough to sleep for a few hours.

That’s lucky then. My face swelled up with a lump the size of a golf ball. I had to go to an oral surgeon to have it lanced and drained. Then a few days later I went back to him for the actual root canal. It was so sensitive that he took the drill bit out of the drill and did it by hand. Worst week ever.
If it had happened six weeks later, I would’ve had dental insurance.

Ugh that is rough. I had a root canal once before (not nearly as bad as yours), still it’s right up there just under Lyme disease as my worst medical experiences.

Yup, the tick bite was on my neck. Apparently the closer to your head, the worse the symptoms. On top of that, I was way out in the sticks. The closest hospital was in the Crystal Meth capital of PA...First doctor dismissed it as sunburn. Second doctor knew it was Lyme, but prescribed something that made me even sicker. Third doctor figured it out. Worst vacation ever haha.
