So yeah. I kinda got a deal on an 05 Elise out of Austin. Needs some cosmetics but mechanically sound.
Took about a week to get to FL from Texas so I guess it’s not technically an impulse buy but once I paid to have it shipped here it was basically mine so...
also the last three of the VIN are 007, which is pretty awesome.

Toyota makes awesome cars! You should get the cupholder if your car didn’t already come with one (it was standard on the Exige but an option on the Elise)
The Elise is awesome because it has a 2ZZ Toyota engine, but it does kinda piss me off since it’s probably the reason for no factory 2ZZ Mr2 (and the Evora is the reason for no more Solara and no more V6 manual). In both cases, they were probably afraid of teh Toyotas stealing sales from the Loti.
Fun fact: in Europe, you could get the 1ZZ on the Elise. It seems like it’d be fun at a good price plus 40 mpg! But who knows how it would sell over here.

everything is lightweight materials which means they are prone to cracking and breaking... on the flip side everything is super cheap.
Everything squeaks and rattles...
it handles superbly.
