I’m bringing my cell phone and laptop and shit and I bought these EU to US adapters online.

Will it work?
Here we use 220V while the US is on 110V, will that make a difference?

Thanks

Looks like it would work. Keep in mind thought that they aren’t grounded and check the sticker on your chargers for you devices says ‘input 100-240v’.

Well, yes those are correct and everything will work fine...but why would you want to plug shit in?

Looks good, just make sure whatever you’re plugging in is capable of running on 120V and/or bring a step-up transformer.

Should be fine as long as your chargers are rated for US voltage (almost all of them are).

Added to that: Cheap stuff will probably work, But is the 3 euro you are saving (on a already expensive trip) worth your 700 dollar phone or laptop.

Most quality phone and laptop chargers should take both. And yep that’s the plug in America

Make sure it is wide ranging and you’ll be all set. If not, just order something like this with a US cable:

It depends on your chargers, but most that you have there should work at 110V (check the back).

Those are the right adapters, but be aware that it might be hard to get these to stay in our rather crappy sockets. If you could get a 3-prong one (third is ground), it will be more stable in the sockets.

The plugs they use for 220V aren’t grounded, so it couldn’t be any worse.
