Kinja'd!!!

I had to pop home today at lunch to feed our cats, because my wife flew to Boston this morning for a yoga teacher training, and around noon I realized I hadn’t left enough cat food out for a whole day of no humans. When I left work, I heard the telltale sound of squeaky sway bar end link heim joints.

Here’s some ATLiens by Outkast so you know what my stupid title is referencing.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I’m kinda sick of the stupid Ground Control front sway bar end links I chose, with their exposed heim joints I have to keep lubing. Had I known better at the time, I would’ve gone with the HP Autosport end links that have sealed rod ends. Oops.

Anyway, I’m sure this is not unique to my car, but if you jack the car up by one of the corner jack points, the other wheel on that side of the car also lifts up. Makes for a pretty easy way to put it on jack stands. Not that I bothered with jack stands for a quick spray lube on a sway bar end link.

So yes, I am officially the type of nerd who goes home at lunch to feed 3 cats AND lube heim joints, while making semi-obscure hip hop references. I’m proud of myself.

Well yes, it’s in my garage, next to my blue bike, blue BMW and blue floor jack.

I am strongly considering one of those auto cat feeder things, as our cat wakes up at 4 am and just meows at us for an hour. Damn your crepuscular nature and desire to overeat Jackiecat!

I think Your car does that because it’s stiff and evenly weighted. Some cars, not so much.

Our vet told us to skip a day of feeding once every week or every fortnight, because out in nature a cat wouldn’t find prey on a daily basis, too. So we kept her low for a day every now and then and she actually didn’t seem to mind.

well, yes. but garage door IS open... maybe your neighbor put it there without you knowing. That would be a really sneaky thing for him to do

Auto cat feeders would be useless in my house. The one cat that bugs us for dry food doesn’t do it in the morning. The one cat who meows endlessly in the morning does it for wet food. The third cat doesn’t bug us for food but is fond of peeing on puppy training pads instead of in the litterbox.

You’re probably right about the stiffness and weight distribution.

Darn those pesky neighbors giving out free snow shovels in Wisconsin!

They probably would’ve been fine but one of them has thyroid problems so I wanted to make sure they had plenty of food. Predictably there was still a half decent amount of dry food in their bowls in spite of my worrying, but they got an extra helping of wet food out of the deal.

Stiff chassis. Woo! I lift the Cougar up at one end and it might need about 3 feet of lift before the rear would come off the ground, too.
