Don’t mind me, just none of our damn parts got shipped last night because the shipper (Tricor) elected to not pick them up from the vendor (WorldPac). So now my guys are standing around, we’re going to have to try to do 20 hours of work in one afternoon one we get the re-ordered stuff later, and a bunch of people aren’t going to get their cars back for the weekend. Tricor fucked us good and proper, as they are wont to do. So this is a rant.

I hate few things like being compromised by other people’s fuckups. 5:30 cannot come fast enough. Oh, but it’s payroll tonight, so I’ll be here till 7. Beer me.

UPDATE: Oh, and now a client who broke their oil pan and scheduled for 6 damn hours just said wait a sec, an insurance adjuster wants to come see it first! No mention of insurance when scheduling the job, and that means I get to fight an insurance company for payment, and can’t work on the car today! Meanwhile, the car is dead in the water taking up space, which I don’t have a lot of. Great! FUCK PEOPLE.

UPDATE WHILE UPDATING: Oh and another person just cancelled a service 20 minutes before their appointment. FUCK PEOPLE. IF A BUSINESS MAKES A TIME COMMITMENT TO YOU DON’T FUCK THEM. OTHER PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET ON THE SCHEDULE TOO. GOD DAMNIT.

My schedule has been a long day of making backlogged corrections and waiting to be told what I need to update on things - with breaks to go tell the guy on the floor how to assemble the hopelessly complicated thing I drew and find out which pieces of the hopelessly complicated thing have gone wrong. So, not as bad as you, but a bit stoopid.
