it will let me sell stocks but whenever i try to buy ill click submit order and itll give me the transaction complete message but then nothing will appear in my portfolio.

If you try to submit orders before market open they’ll be put on hold and will ckear once the market opens. Look at your “Portfolio” page, there’s a button somewhere on there to see your pending orders.
