The problem is obvious, the steering wheel is on the incorrect side of the car.

The problem is obvious....there’s no engine, just a giant pile of plastic where an engine should be...

Ugh. I bet this displays every single point on the list of irritating things on modern cars I mentioned 2 posts down...

I don’t envy you.

Although, at least, Lexus tends to be better at the whole reliability thing than the Germans (and still seems to buy into the whole idea that if you’re paying that much for a car, it should be ultra-well built, not just have lots of crap shoved in), so you don’t have as many of the modern car problems...

Kinja'd!!!

actually:

A 5.0 Yamaha V8 (titanium valves, mega advanced dual injector drivers, etc.)

Crazy advance performance Hybrid AWD. Hybrid for power since 2007. Before it was cool.

Adaptive air suspension was mega. Does dual upper control arms, yo!

Ohhh wait, void that because of the plastic covers...

Bruh, those mega high pressure fuel regulators (that run off an extra cam lobe) are quite loud indeed for the direct injection at cold start up (also before it was widely used). But unlike a loud as fuck 550i of the same year, that engine cover is super thick with insulating foam on the other side to help ensure the customer of this $100,000+ car doesn’t hear too much engine noise at idle. You know, things that bother luxury executive car buyers. An early solution, it worked.

No, but that will not please the enthusiast elite

*pinky in the air*

lol nah just kidding, it does look a bit goofy :] but meh, it worked at the time for noise. Too flat doe, so weird

If I was to buy a non-MB, I might pick this model, just so rare and un-necessary. If it wasn’t so bland, it could almost be German. I think I have seen but 2 on the road.

Customer: Yes, I’d like a Lexus with all of the letters.

Dealer: okay, we have this lovely LS500.

Customer: I said all of the letters.

Dealer: Alright, how about an LS600L?

Customer: I SAID ALL OF THE LETTERS GODDAMMIT!

Dealer: LS600hL it is, then.

How I wish Toyota would’ve made proper 1GZ-FE V12 LS600.

To be fair, the gauges are just back lit and not visible when the car is off. It’s one of the LS’s signature items. My ‘97 is the same way.

I was kidding :P

I just think such ridiculous covers lookd sortof stupid IMHO....back at the turn of the 1900s, engines were all on display because they were a piece of complicated mechanical art to be appreciated...how we hide ours away :(
