Is what’s for dinner tonight.
The first time I visited Barcelona ETA blew up a police captain in a nearby city. They have recently given over their weapons to the French and Spanish authorities, possibly ending over half a century of conflict with the Spanish and French governments. Despite their acts of terrorism, they played a huge role in ending facist rule in Spain (they blew up Franco’s successor).
The Basque are an interesting and wonderful people, with amazing culture and cuisine. This has been another installment of Skychismo’s “Know Your Food”.

My father-in-law researched that his family is Basque. I told my wife that explains a lot about her family. Her grandmother is still mad that the Moors ate the family goat back in 900 A.D...
