At 6:42 p.m., a duck was reported on the side of the road in Kearns Boulevard. It was described as being injured “or doing something weird.”
Ducks beings ducks without knowing they are ducks.

They probably know on an instinctive level that another duck is a duck, but you’re right ;)
Surprisingly few animals know what they are. It doesn’t actually strike me as something that would be particularly useful as a survival mechanism, so I can see why self-awareness hasn’t cropped up more often.
