I have one of these turbo noise makes to which you are referring. It makes plentiful whooshy whistly whiny noises. They’re all very upright and proper and mature versions of those noises of course, because I’m a 30something business professional.

I had the same on my old Mazdaspeed 6. The front passenger brake on my 335xi is starting to squeal. Some of the BMW guys talk crap about EBC pads because when the street pads get abused on the track, a couple people have had them crumble. But no street pad is really going to hold up to serious track sessions. Well, GreenStuff do kinda suck in general but the reds were nice, in my experience at least.

I’m thinking about RedStuff, Hawk HPS 5.0, or StopTech Sport. It may come down to price since RockAuto has the StopTech pads for super cheap.

Stock snowflakes are very nice for OEM wheels, but the new ones look very rally and I like them better. Also fitment looks a little different maybe...

I wanted the same kind of stopping power as the OEM pads but I needed less brake dust, and I was scared of the Hawk pads because one of their compounds has caustic brake dust.

I’m only recently understanding wheel fitments. These have a 33mm offset with no need for spacers.

I liked the low dust on the EBC reds when I had them. I also ran a set of Hawk HP+ on my Miata way back when but wouldn’t do those again because they’re noisy and dusty as hell. Generally I haven’t been a huge Hawk fan but the HPS 5.0 are newer compound that’s supposed to be a nice upgrade over the HPS, same with the new Street Race which is like a more civilized HP+.

I’ve driven a fost with those mods. Operation Go is very much accurate, also operation constant wheel spin in the first few gears. haha

I don’t know what it had for motor mounts. No engine clunking for what that’s worth and it was an earlier one so it probably had something.
