Funny, I’m getting my license in Civil Engineering in Oregon pretty soon. Clients are mostly public water and sewer agencies. I have never heard of some one being a licensed computer engineer.

Take that up with the state DOT. Most of that is lack of $$$,$$$,$$$ to fix stuff. Believe me they would love to fix everything that needed fixing. I worked at a State DOT as an intern, most of our funding was from the Feds and the feds have been pretty cheap lately.

We have some of the highest income taxes in the country. Plus weed taxes. Plus schools that are mediocre at best and don’t see much of that tax money. I would love to know where all of that money is going, it certainly isn’t going into things that it should. And if it is, they’re spending insane amounts of money on stupid things, like $30k for a hammer.
