You’re a disaster waiting to happen. You’re over the white line, your tires are bald, and worst of all the left front suspension is minutes away from failure. Let’s hope you don’t cross into oncoming traffic and kill someone when it lets go.

But look how cool he looks in his glorified lifted, SUV-ified Chevy Colorado :/

He’ll be lucky he doesn’t kill anybody or himself if that suspension collapses on the highway...

Repairs and tires are expensive.

What’s funny is that NC actually has an inspection.

Is the left front tire suppose to be all leaning like that —> / ? Or is it a result of as you say some mechanical issue? Because it looks like it’s about to take a nose dive.

There’s definitely something wrong, ball joint, wheel bearing, perhaps both?

His tag was expired too, though it doesn’t show in the photo.

I wonder if not passing inspection had something to do with it...

Since I now live in North Carolina, I can tell you how truly shitty our inspections are. They’re supposed to do a visual, but most people just hook it up to the OBD because they have to and send people back out.

I also SWEAR that my tags are NOT going to expire in less than a week and am CONFIDENT I will pass inspection because a definitely DON’T have two emissions related codes lighting up my CEL right now, and they definitely HAVEN’T been there for 6 months...

They make you spend $250 ”trying” to fix stuff, then you have to bring the bill to the DMV and pay another $200 to get a years waiver...which is outright extortion in my opinion.

Maybe he just wanted the extra camber for handling. Its probably broken though.

Either the suspension is broken, or the owner has dialed in some wicked front camber for track use. I’m going to guess the former.

I’m originally from NC and I can totally relate to this post. On more than one occasion when talking to my sister and nephews in NC about winter weather crippling the place the discussion has turned to worn out tires. They all seem to run tires until near bald. In the North and Midwest we seem to observe wear indicators and replace tires so we don’t end up slamming curbs or driving into ditches.

In NC a passed inspection is required before renewal. Also even money says the owner will get pissed off when he gets failed for tires, suspension and whatever else ails this H3. (And I really hope he doesn’t come to my work for the inspection... Tag number jotted down just in case.)
