Kinja'd!!!

He’s doing well. He’s expected to be able to go home today. They pulled out half an intact tennis ball. No idea where he got it from or when he ate it. I was more stressed out yesterday than I can remember ever being.

I’ve been wondering about him. Half a tennis ball..........that is bizarre!

I’m going to watch my dog like a hawk now, she loves chewing things to pieces.

Glad to hear everything worked out! Do you have a backyard? Maybe it was a ball that fell back there at some point and he managed to find it?

I’m glad it was something you can resolve. My dog who is 8 recently had a tumor removed and now has to have chemotherapy every three weeks, hopefully he has a year or more. He had a foxtail in his nose once and I was pretty worried with that one too!

My mom’s dog is going through chemo right now. He was responding really well but recently not so much. I’ve known several dogs that have lived well beyond expectations because cancer treatments have come along so far.

We do. He has always had a habit of eating toys so he doesn’t get any unattended. We don’t have any tennis balls around unaccounted for so he either found one left behind by previous owner’s dog or we have kids behind us and the ball came over and we didn’t know

He’s not a smart dog. Very sweet, but not smart. Most dogs chew

Yeah they seem to not hit them as hard as humans so they do pretty well, lower dosage. He had a small section of his intestine removed and the type of tumor is not common. He is having a genetic test done that has only been available to animals for about 6 months. That should tell us what treatment is best. The first treatment was done and it was a best guess while they wait for the test results. They were supposed to have the test done by the first treatment but the lab had some issue! They gave us our money back and will still do the test, I’d rather have the information! So it has been a stressful time.

I don’t have kids so my dogs are like mine. It’s incredibly stressful. Hope for the best with your pup
