They changed the parking on campus recently, and this morning I discovered 4 spots worth the title of best parking spot ever. Since they put down a new sidewalk, approximately half of a spot was lost, on a 2 spot row. So now it is this huge 1.3 car spot, just look at how the Twingo drowns in it:
I think it is safe to say this spot will reduce the amount of door dings the Twingo recieves on a monthly basis. And since there are four like this, I’m hoping I can park in one every day.

There’s a spot like that in the resident parking lot at my dorm but for some odd reason it has a parking meter in it so it can’t be used. You need a $300 resident parking pass to park in that lot so no one is going to pay more to park in that specific spot and non residents can’t use it because they would get ticketed for not having a the correct parking pass.

I love it! I want one for my car...
I do have a pretty great spot that I’ve staked a claim to at my office that has similar properties, though - it’s basically a parallel spot at the end of a row of angle spots, so there are no left/right adjacent spots, plus it has a good wide buffer to the nearest spot behind me. Someone would need to do something extremely stupid to damage my car there.

Your campus parking people are seriously dumb/crazy to create an unusable parking spot. I don’t think I’ve been to any college campus that has sufficient parking.

Damn...that spot is worth like $3 billion in the Netherlands. You could fit a couple Twingos or maybe 4 SMARTs in that space.

Do many students come by car? When I was at university literally zero of my friends had a car, with the exception of the foreign ones. I believe there were maybe 2 or 3 in my year of 130 that had a car that I can remember.

I love it too, because the state of my car has gotten quite bad due to way to tight parking spots (on lots with half a spot spare at the end of the line, it’s like they don’t know what they are doing)
That sounds like a good spot, my dad has something like that at work too, though his is a such a pain to get into, that nobody else wants to go through the trouble needed to park next to him, creating a buffer of almost one spot.

To be honest it is about 2.30 wide, so that Dodge should probably fit, just. Not that anybody drives a Dually over here, I can only remember seeing one or two in my 21 years of existence.

Literally none, haha. I think I know of like 3 or 4 besides me. Though the recent addition of two student flats to the campus did lead to a lot of Italian and Romanian(and other eastern European) students bringing over cars for some reason.

Yep, and I just pay €100 a year for it (well to park on campus that is). The value is slightly lower in the south, but I’m sure this kind of space would be way too expensive in Amsterdam.
I’ll ask around to round up some small cars to see how many we can fit, haha. Maybe I should try with the research Lupos, they are ruined already anyway.

I would be surprised if they did, has been like this for a while, approximately since they finished the flat behind it, around a year ago. And it’s dirty anyhow, damn deadlines keeping me from cleaning it, that’s still oppomeet dirt mostly though.

Yours definitely beats mine, but I appreciate what I have...
It looks dangerous back there, but you’d have to completely miss the spot/block by a good margin to get to my car.
The door is never used and wouldn’t hit my car even if it was (the swing is within the space on the other side of the line).
