My favorite tuner died while racing. After his death, the company he ran really never was the same.

He did crazy NA tuning and the vehicles were real sleepers that could move while looking stock. And they were reliable. After he died, they just started slapping turbos and blowers on everything. When he went away, so did his magic.

Let’s be real here: All aftermarket wheels are ugly. If they’re not super close to something a manufacturer has put on a stock car, they’re probably hideous. Some manufacturers use ugly wheels, too, so it isn’t always a guarantee that they have taste, but there’s a greater chance they have taste.
Every tuner seems to put aftermarket wheels on their cars to make them stand out more. Those wheels are almost invariably ugly, and considering they’re a large part of the appearance of the car, it reflects poorly on their taste.
There are a tiny number (mostly acquired/absorbed by the company they focus on) that seem to have taste, but they’re all in Europe as far as I am aware and we’ve all heard of them.

Some municipalities use two boots for whatever reason. I’ve seen it done a number of times in Atlanta. Seems like a waste of resources to me but there might be a reason as to why they do it.

Have you listened to The Smoking Tire episode with Calloways son that and out in the last few weeks? Literally one of the best things I’ve listened to in a long time. Just them going through the history of Calloway from the beginning to now is amazing.
