Crap. Where am I going to find 100 BNC to RCA adapters?

OK, I probably don’t need that many since I’ll just use it for composite connections. I’ve wanted a matrix switchbox, and at $8 this was just too good to pass on. Now to take bets on how many years it will take me to actually install this beast.

I’m not sure what exactly this is useful for, but I appreciate the sheer volume of BNC connectors.

It’s a matrix audio/video switchbox. 12 inputs which can be routed to any of 8 outputs. It’s normally used in high-end computer-controlled A/V installations. It does have an RS-232 interface on it, and it looks like there’s some Windows-based software, but I probably won’t go that crazy. I just need to route multiple inputs (TiVo, Roku, DVD, VHS, etc) to different output devices (wireless transmitter, monitor, computer capture device).

Right now I have to manually reroute cables to different devices from the 6 input, 2 output switchbox I currently use whenever I need to record on another device. This should also eliminate the problems where a loop is created when the output of a device is accidentally routed back to the input of the same device.
