I feel like aerospace R&D money should go towards making Studio Ghibli products exist in the real world. We don’t need a JSF, we need the Flappter from Castle In The Sky.

Totally off topic (sort of) from your post, I had to look up Nausicaa, since I knew I had seen the name before, and not from Castle in the Sky . It turns out that she was a character in The Odyssey , a book that I read a few years ago in a remarkable translation by Robert Fagles. It’s worth reading about her on Wiki. She helps Odysseus return to Ithaca, and while they didn’t actually fall in love, they might have under different circumstances, and they parted perhaps wondering what might have been.
