A couple of Polish friends had one of these in the U.K. and used it on forestry work to carry their chainsaws and other equipment. The thing was used as a mule, poorly maintained but kept on going. He only got rid of it when his (to be) wife refused to get into it and told him to get shot of it because it was filthy inside, stank, etc...

This was based on the mk2 Golf, if I’m not mistaken. Which is odd considering the mk3 came out in the same year as this Toledo.

They are just better looking VWs.
VW selling SEATs (along with Skoda) would be juat another expense for VW.
