It’s hard to tell with just pictures online, but seems like it would work as long as the female threads on the adapter are deep enough.
eta: that fitting description shows its only good for 500psi so I don’t know about using that on a brake line. Why can’t you use the 3/16 NPT?

That’s the stuff my team mate grabbed to use. I wanted him to get 1/8" to match the rest of the system but they didn’t have any so he grabbed this instead.

You should not use any sort of coupler on brake lines. It should run in one contiguous piece from the master cylinder to the closest point on the frame, and then ONE connector from the rubber hose or stainless line to the caliper/wheel cylinder.
In racing, life, driving, etc. One area to NEVER cut corners or cheap out is brakes.

3/8 diameter male thread will not fit 3/16 female thread. This is a should probably fab it up in the store to make sure everything works situation. I also am not sure you want to be using sizing adaptors on brake lines. It looks like it’s important to have the long threaded bushing on the brake line installed very securely into the caliper, where the adaptor will only thread in maybe 3/8 inch at most.

I was thinking the same thing. The brass adaptor bushings are not designed for high pressure temperature and brake use.

It’s a formula Hybrid race car. The wilwood system we are using has 1/8" NPT female fittings on all the calipers and master cylinders.

Can you make it in to an Oreilly/Autozone/Advance whatever? Bring what you have, and mock something up in the store. That’s what I did to plumb in my Wilwood proportioning valve. I wanted to make sure everything was correct, I had to make a small 2" line from the distribution block to the valve. Oreilly had the most fittings to mess around with. Autozone had a few things hanging in the back section. They let me walk back and mess around with the lines and fittings.

I wanted to flare and assemble our own hardlines for the lines inside the chassis but my teammate insisted that we shouldn’t do that and went and bought a bunch of premade lines that were wrong on many different levels and now I am being forced to make it work since the car is on a trailer to competition at about 5 AM on Sunday. The Wilwood system we have uses 1/8" NPT on the calipers and master cylinders and when he went to get lines and they didn’t have 1/8" he grabbed a bunch of the 3/16" stuff without paying attention to the fact that some of them were adapter lines and one even had metric threads on one end. I was bugging him about going out and getting the stuff to make lines a month ago and he waited until Friday to decide it was time to get the brake stuff and then went and bought all the wrong stuff and now I have to fix everything with no time to do it. Next year this is someone else’s problem.

The issue is that the Wilwood calipers and master cylinders we are using have 1/8" NPT fittings. The issue is hardline from the calipers.

You can get Nicopp and fittings at your nearest autozone. You might fail tech if you use brass fittings. I know I would fail a car with them.

It’s not a heavily stressed system compared to others. The car only weighs about 700 lbs and the fastest it will realistically ever go is about 45 mph. Based on the scraps of old brake systems I have been digging through trying to find parts I would say we have done something like this before in our past. The auto parts stores I checked Friday evening didn’t have anything but I am going to have to get the Team credit card tomorrow and do my own search.

I think you’ll just have to return the tuff your teammate got and get 1/8" npt lines. Someone like jegs or summit should have it if you can’t get it locally.
