These were a fun way to show you had some dough in 1990s era rural or semi-rural PNW.

Taking excess to excessive lengths.

I think they look better than most crew cab trucks ever. The bench seat sitting in the “bed” is also hilarious and would probably be fun to ride in

not trying to be a douche, but were these really Bronco conversions? I was under the impression they were just done on F-series trucks... regardless, I’d take one!

Both kinda. Pretty interesting excerpt about what a centurion actually is:

“Although Ford would not produce a factory-built competitor for the Chevrolet Suburban until the introduction of the Expedition and Excursion, a four-door version of the fourth and fifth-generation Bronco was produced as the Centurion Classic , constructed by Centurion Vehicles, a converter specializing in Ford trucks based in White Pigeon, Michigan . [19]

In the construction of each Classic, Centurion would actually use two different Ford trucks, an F-Series crew-cab pickup, and a Ford Bronco. The crew-cab wheelbase was shortened from 168 inches to 140 inches (9 inches longer than the Suburban); [19] the Bronco rear quarter panels, hardtop, and tailgate were mated to the pickup bodywork. [20] Early models used fiberglass rear body panels but later these were instead made from steel. [21] As the rear seat of the Bronco was retained, the Centurion Classic featured three-row seating for up to nine. [19]

The original excursion. Way better looking though in my opinion.

Definitely better looking, the old Broncos weren’t bad looking themselves. I suspect they still have some relatively decent value to them, too.

I mean “problem” as in an unhealthy obsession with.

“The first step of the conversion was to slice off the rear of the Ram’s cab and the forward portion of the bed. Then a Suburban roof was grafted onto the truck bed. To make the Suburban rear side glass fit, it was recessed into the sides of the bed. To adapt Suburban rear doors, the exterior door skins were replaced with the sheetmetal excised from the Ram’s bed, and then the interior panels were substituted with Ram trim. The stock Ram tailgate was retained, but the liftgate is a Suburban part. Rear seats are Suburban-issue covered with Dodge upholstery. (By the way, the sheik didn’t end up with a separate two-seat convertible Suburban: The GM parts are standard bodyshop fare.)“

The good ol’ Ramcharger based on the BR. They raided the minivan parts bin to keep costs down.
