Joins us in Northville this Saturday, May 6th!

Time will be 12-4pm, but feel free to come and go as you please. As a reminder, we will be meeting at the Recreation Area location embedded below:

We’ve got a pavilion set aside with restrooms nearby, and we’ll have refreshments and our own little Concours d’Oppos . Nothing real fancy, just an afternoon of hanging out and meeting your fellow Oppos face-to-face.

As you can see below, all the main cookout supplies have been claimed. If you plan on eating and would still like to contribute, feel free to bring any random snack or side dish.

A few quick ground rules: as mentioned in the previous post, alcoholic drinks are ok to bring, but no kegs, and of course please drink responsibly. Standard Oppositelock rules of excellence also apply. (Obviously, no burnouts, etc.)

Update on getting to the pavilion in your pretty non rally cars. I drove through the area this morning in my Milan because we all know I’ll drive that car through pretty much anything.

I’ve highlighted the routes on my comp-ed together map below that people should take. The red line is recommended by google. Unless you have a rally car or an SUV/Truck I don’t recommend it on Saturday. We’re getting rain the next two days. It’ll be sloppier than it was today. Looked like a rally playground today (I’ll be back in the Capri hahahaha)

There IS AN ENTRY from Hines to the rec area. Google Maps doesn’t seem to be supporting the little cut through. There is good drainage in there and the parking lot will be fine (though it is dirt, just give your car a nice bath after the event).

Green is a good route to take. There are 3 entries to Hines highlighted.The tiny one in the middle is dirt, but it’s not a bad little cut through. To be clear - there is NOT an entry at 6 mile.

We did over here in Canton, which means Northville did.

Looks like we’ve got a big enough crowd to lower it down to $5 each. The main dishes are already spoken for, but it would be good to round that out with some side dishes & snacks, I think. I’m gonna bring a few extra items to help with that.
