I was in Hong Kong for a few days for a funeral (RIP Grandma, she had a long, healthy life after fleeing a war and could not have gone in a better way).
Not as many pics as usual, but here they are. As expected, quite a few gems and JDM goodness.

I always gawked at the vans over there. Car people are a weird bunch...

Man, I love hk. Taiwan was my second home, but hk was our family’s third and adopted home. (Parents did a lot of business there). My condolences for the funeral but hope you enjoyed your time there with family

I think this will be my destination next year. Is it always a traffic jam, everywhere?

Several ways to answer that question:
1) No.
2) Traffic is really not that bad for a big city--car ownership is about 20%.
3) Surface roads are usually not the best way to get around. Trains can get you almost anywhere, very quickly.
Don’t forget to venture outside the city—nearly 70% of Hong Kong’s surface area is unoccupied parkland. Awesome hiking trails.

Thanks. Mid-90s :)
Some interesting things I learned, as refugees from the Chinese war, the actual birth year/date is unclear. Also, most refugees adopted new names for their new lives, for various reasons. There was some debate over her birth name which was amusing.
