honestly, I have no idea!
Lots of rust on this car.
My last car also had a broken strut too, and it was actually wortse since the spring had fallen off the lower perch. I have no clue how this spring actually stayed on the perch!
Strut mount failure like this is actually common where there’s rust.
Quick struts are awesome

yeah, it is. I sprayed some Krown on it for now. Hopefully the Krown will at least stop it from becoming worse.
my car is rusty as fuck, and the 4th gen Maxima is known for its rust issues.
One of the brake pads was rusted to the rotor, and the other pad was rusted to the caliper!
It took me 6 hours to do that one shock and the caliper/pad/rotor change on that one side!
The radiator support sucks, too
