So basically everything the Weather Channel has done.
I’m biased because a good friend of mine quit there because making weather trackable ob social media was more important than proper modeling forecasts. If you wonder why their forecasting has gotten terrible in the last few years it’s because he quit to teach high school science.

You can spin it however you want but the “fake” science BS has been happening well before Trump’s election. Not saying the protests are unwarranted, or Trumps policies are good (They Aren’t) but it is more than a political issue.
Lately these protests don’t seem to have any purpose behind them. It’s just let’s show off how pissed off we are and trend on social media, instead of having an actual discussion that has merit.
The problem with outrage is nothing get’s accomplished, sure there will be coverage of this for 24 hours max, bt it’s gone after that. By in large many people are thinking “oh look another protest what’s new on Netflix?” Instead energies need to be made to make media that matters that shows reason. Bill Nye has been doing an excellent job of this, no protest signs that most people have no clue about needed.

The problem wasn’t the Keystone pipeline itself, it was where they were building it, over the biggest aquifer in the country, and straight through Sioux cultural sites. Even if it is the safest method, any spill would be dangerous and building it there is an unnecessary risk.

Any spill is dangerous everywhere, but a pipeline is the least dangerous solution. Without pipelines, you have oil trains, and most rail lines understandably run through population centers.
