Kinja'd!!!

I keep hearing that the Nissan Rogue is selling like crazy, but I hardly ever see them.... seriously, even if they are being dumped on the fleet market, someone should be renting them now that convertible Sebrings are no longer available.

To test my theory that this is a vast Fake News! conspiracy I counted the Rogues on a 4o mile stretch of I-95.

Final tally= one.

I also saw exactly one Sunbeam (sorry no picture). Where are the Rogues? Are they so bland that they’re invisible? Is Nissan pulling an Enron and just making up numbers? And who drives a Sunbeam on I-95 in the middle of the week?!

That’s some real great evidence there. Top notch research.

Come to Chicago. I think they’re all here.

Also, are they counting that stupid Rogue Select leftovers in those numbers?

I’ve rented a few. There may be more out west to pawn off as AWD vehicles in rental fleets - I feel like I’ve gotten them in Boise and maybe Bozeman or Salt Lake.

They’re everywhere in Ohio.

Thank you. My statistician calculates that there is a 95% probability your statement is true.

I work in Nashville and I swear there is one Rogue for every six other cars on the road there.

And I should mention that no animals were harmed during the conduct of this research. Actually, I was eating a burger, so at least one cow was harmed. Ok I have leather seats too, so that’s a few more cows. But otherwise, totally ethical and non-toxic research.

Maybe we should refer to the center of the country as “The Rogue Belt”? Everything else could be “Prius-land”

Probably so. There’s also a butt-load of Titan XDs there but it is the HQ for Nissan after all.

‘what I see every day’ is a terrible metric for measuring a vehicle’s popularity nationwide. There are 260 million cars on US roads. 150k would be a huge hit for any automaker, but that volume doesn’t represent even 1% of all cars total. Due to localization of buying trends, it’s entirely possible to not see even one example of the best selling vehicle in the US where you live.

They are everywhere around me in NC. Also I rent them very frequently for work.

They are prevalent in Atlanta. I’ll try to count the ones I see on Mondays commute.

C’mon, don’t tell another guy his metric is inadequate......

Besides, I thought it would be more fun than saying “I performed a cross-sectional regional survey of the incidence of Nissan Rogues, with a sample size below the threshold of statistical significance alpha=0.80 and p<0.05.”

How’s the commute now after the bridge fire?

Not so bad for me, it’s added maybe 15 mins. I travel north of where the fire was. Doesn’t impact me until the last 2 miles. I’m fortunate, I have a friend that it’s added an hour to hour and a half to her commute.

I counted 6 in 15 miles, though it’s likely I missed a couple.
