The earlier ones up top were very solid cars.
The one at the bottom had a too longer life than it should with the 214, etc... then becoming the 200 Series, then with very little change (ie headlights and a couple of other things) became the Rover 25 and MG ZR.
We had a red Rover 25, 1.4i. Good little car, reliable and honest, it wasn’t much but what it did, it did well.
Three Rovers I’d have in a heartbeat are the Rover 218VVC.
Rover 825 V6 Sterling coupe.
and the glorious Rover P5b coupe with the 3.5 V8.
